The Mr. Olympia 2022  is just around the corner; starting from December 15th to December 18th. It is a prestigious yearly bodybuilding competition. Founded in 1965, brothers Joe and Ben Weider competed in the competition to establish the best bodybuilder in the world. Since then, it has become the most important title of a bodybuilder’s career.

Now, the 58th edition of the mega-event will be held at the Zappos Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Below are some of the essential details you must know about the famous event.

CBum, Big Ramy, and other top contenders to keep an eye on

Canada’s Chris Bumstead is a three-time Classic Physique Olympia champion. And he is now aiming for his fourth consecutive win at Mr. Olympia 2022 event. Although Bumstead is the favorite to win the title this year, he still has some great competitors.

The two-time Arnold Classic winner Terrence Ruffin, former Olympia champion Beron Ansley and youngsters Urs Kalecinski and Ramon Rocha Queiroz are Bumstead’s strongest rivals for claiming the title.

Like CBum, Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay is also one of the biggest names in Mr. Olympia 2022. The two-time defending champion is aiming for his third Olympia championship and is a fan favorite.

However, it wouldn’t be an easy task for Big Ramy as his rival and the two times Arnold Classic winner, Brandon Curry, is seeking redemption by claiming his title back. Curry won the Mr. Olympia title back in 2019. He is Ramy’s biggest rival on stage.

Other bodybuilders to watch out for

Last year’s second runner-up and two-time People’s Choice Winner Hadi Choopan is one of the bodybuilders expected to spice up the competition. With a firm eye on winning the competition this year, 2021 Arnold Classic winner Nick Walker might be an interesting athlete to keep an eye on.

William “The Conqueror” Bonac is a Mr. Olympia runner-up and has also won the Arnold Classic award twice. Besides, the bodybuilder has claimed that this year’s Mr. Olympia will be his best appearance so far.
