Felix Gallardo Biography
Felix Gallardo was born on a ranch in Sinaloa, Mexico on January 8, 1946. He completed high school and afterward went to college to study business. After completing his education, he was hired as a member of the Mexican federal police, where he served as Leopoldo Sanchez Celis’ bodyguard. He also had a godfather in the latter.
Later on, Celis would use his political ties to assist Felix in transporting his drugs across Mexico. Together with Rafael Caro and Ernesto Fonseca, who had previously worked as agents for the Aviles gang and had paid the police a fee to move their goods, Felix started his own drug trafficking operation. They took over the drug trade routes when Aviles was killed in a shootout with the police.
